While setting up new boat, noticed that when there is even a little bit of backstay tension the bearings would begin to bind up. The smaller tube that the gooseneck wraps around and goes into the bottom of the mast will bend just enough to cause the gooseneck to bind enough in light air so the boom will not swing.

This is just a heads up to make sure the mast adjustment and mast bend are aligned so that the smaller insert tube in the bottom of the mast does not have any bend in it to cause the gooseneck to bind.
