Got my boat Monday. When I sail it, the line “unwinds” around the drum. I see a few posts addressing an “elastic” line. My boat came with a standard dyneema line, wrapped twice around the drum then leading aft through a hole then around a block then leading forward to the fishing swivel. It there a way to place more tension on the line so that it will not unroll off of the drum? Or is this line supposed to be an elastic line? Help?

Yes, still me. Attached the elastic “string” to the drum and rigged to the sheets in the cockpit. Drum spins around but does not pull sails inward or outward. A lot lot lot of stretch in the elastic line that came with the boat. Help? How is the sheeting system rigged from the drum to the dyneema sheets?

The line on the drum is not elastic. The elastic line is from the sheet line clip to the front eyelet on the foredeck. The purpose is to keep tension on the line around the drum when there is no load.
